1. Are roster moves on ESPN going to be weekly (match-up) or daily? I would think daily but I wanted to confirm as I did not see it specified.
2. Can you confirm that we are doing both a full 30 round MLB and MiLB prior to the start of the 2013 season? If yes, will there than be a seven round MiLB draft prior to the 2013 season or will the first rookie (minor league) draft be before the 2014 season?
3. Can you confirm that only players that have exhausted their rookie status (130 AB or 50 IP) can be selected in the MLB draft? The rules state, "To be eligible for the MiLB draft the player must have less than 130 AB or 50 IP." This does not exclude these players from being selected in the MLB draft so I wanted to confirm.
4. How are internationaly signees handled? Are these players part of the minors (MiLB) draft?
5. If a player is signed as a free agent at what point (if any) does his MLB contract status replace his FA contract? For example Ryan Howard is not drafted and thus becomes a FA. I offer him 2 years at 4 mil and 7 mil. No one else counters. Once this contract expires does he revert to his MLB contract or does that not factor in any longer?
6. Along the same lines I offer him a FA contract that locks him in through 2017. This is the same time his MLB contract expires (if the club picks up his option). Can I then keep him for whatever his next MLB contract is?
7. Sticking with the Howard example... If I select him in the draft and then the club does not pick up his option after 2016 does he then become a FA for me or I am I able to sign him for whatever his next MLB deal is for?
8. If I sign a FA player who has not exhausted his arbitration how does that factor in with the MLB arbitration process?
9. Is there a DL in this league? If so, I am still on the hook for the entire salary of a player while he is on the DL? I think this how MLB works but most of my leagues have counted a portion of the salary to allow owners to sign a replacement player since we are playing with a cap MLB does not.
10. This is a H2H league with 14 wins in play for each match-up. Will there be playoffs and divisions or is it just total wins at the end of the season?
I am sure I will have more questions but I figured that would be a good start. LOL
